Accessing Germany by plane is easy. About 100 different airlines fly into Germany from all over Europe providing a very good service at any time of the year. Major airports are clustered all over Germany with the most important ones located in Frankfurt (Fraport), Berlin (Tegel and Schoneberg) and Munich (Franz Josef Strauss).

Low cost carriers are also very popular in Germany serving the smaller airports thus giving the traveller a choice of many cheap flights to assorted destinations in Germany.

Getting to and from the airport is simple as almost every airport is well connected to public transportation.

German roads and highways are very well maintained, have no speed restrictions (in some sections) and most importantly are toll free. The traffic also drives on the right hand side. Being adjacent to 9 different countries, the road network to access Germany is very good. If you want to take your own car, take the Eurotunnel or a ferry from Dover or Harwich, Germany is easy to reach for travellers from the United Kingdom.

From the UK, boats leave from several destinations; Hull, Newcastle, Harwich, Dover or Rosyth heading for the continent. Once you have arrived, take a river cruise trip down some of Germany’s longest waterways – the Rhine, Danube and Elbe. Let the scenery glide by and relax in the comfort of your floating hotel, stopping of at all the main points of interest along the way. The views from the rivers coupled with Germany’s diverse landscapes guarantee an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.
