To get to the Oktoberfest
As there are no parking facilities in the vicinity of the Oktoberfest grounds, it is advisable to use public transport.
- U-Bahn (underground): lines U3 and U6 to Goetheplatz or Poccistrasse
- U4 and U5 to Schwanthalerhöhe or Theresienwiese (very crowded)
- S-Bahn (suburban train): lines S1-8 to Hackerbrücke
- Tram: lines 18 and 19 to Hermann-Lingg-Strasse or Holzapfelstrasse
- Bus: route 131 or 132 to Hans-Fischer-Strasse, route 134 to Theresienhöhe
- Taxi stands can be found all around the Oktoberfest grounds
- Coach parking: southern part of the Theresienwiese and Hansastrasse
