The Oktoberfest may be the best-known and biggest beer festival but Stuttgart is close on Munich's heels.

The grounds include three huge brewery tents, each holding 4,500 people entertained by traditional brass bands and sampling Swabian specialties like Kasspätzle and Schupfnudeln with Sauerkraut - all this helps the beer go down.

The fairground includes loop the loop, ghost trains, the world's largest transportable Ferris wheel and the sheer thrill, speed and excitement of the roller coaster.
