In September, the Old Quarter hosts an Autumn Festival (Heidelberger Herbst), a huge street fair. Heidelberg's pedestrian zone will turn onto a party zone.

The annual Old Town Autumn Festival "Heidelberger Herbst" includes a Medieval Market with 40 booths, an arts & crafts market, flea markets for kids and adults, regional specialties as well as all kinds of shows - from Samba to Salsa, from modern dance to Hard Rock.
