European Porcelain Anniversary Exhibition
Special exhibition on the 300th anniversary of the invention of European porcelain
Although mentioned in Dresden, large scale production of porcelain started on June 6th in 1710 at Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen. Only after 150 years, production was shifted to a new custom-built manufactory. The exhibition at Albrechtsburg Castle provides insight into the theoretical and technical backgrounds of this historical invention and visitors can also learn more about today's use of this "high tech material".
