Magical Göttingen 

During Advent Göttingen's romantic Christmas market in its historic old town revolves around the Gänseliesel statue.

At more than 80 stands visitors can browse through Christmas articles, wooden toys, glove puppets and a whole lot more. They can sample mulled wine (Glühwein) and Christmas treat to get into a Christmassy mood. And there is also something for youngsters: activities to join in with, a children's roundabout, the historic big wheel and an Advent calendar as tall as a house! Particularly popular among visitors are the many handicraft demonstrations.

The Christmas market is closed on 24th - 26th December.
