Tübingen (pop 82,000) is one of Baden-Württemberg’s most famous university towns. Poets and thinkers like Hölderlin, Hauff, Mörike, Uhland, Schiller and Kepler have already studied here. Nowadays Tübingen is still a lively students’ town and with its ‘Hölderlin-Tower’, ‘Art Gallery’ and ‘Gondola-Race’ on the Neckar River, a place worth visiting for more than one reason.
