Only very few German landscapes have become as well-known in the whole world as the Black Forest. The route of 70 km length is identical with the B 500 and runs along the ridges of this low mountain range, also passes by the Feldberg which is the highest Black Forest peak with 1493 m, and it allows for spectacular views into almost alpine ravines, over the Rhine valley and even into Alsace on the other side.
