Shopping in Ulm

There is a wide range of shops on both sides of the Danube: long-established, unusual specialist shops on historic side streets but also modern department stores and boutiques. There is also the "Blautal Center", Baden-Württemberg's largest mall, and Ulm's major pedestrian zone between Münsterplatz and the station. In Neu-Ulm, the smaller town-centre shops around the town hall and Petrusplatz contrast with the large Mutschler shopping centre. There are cafes and bars everywhere with tables outside, a constant temptation to shoppers. Ulm has bags of flair, and not only on market days (Wed/Sat on Münsterplatz). Typical souvenirs are the Ulm Sparrow or "Einsteinköpfle" - the chocolate with spirit.

Entertainment

Ulm Theatre with its varied programme (drama, operas/operettas/musicals, ballet), Neu-Ulm Theatre, "Theatre in the Waistcoat Pocket" ... >> more
