In March and April, Heidelberg will resound with music. Since 1997 the “Heidelberg Spring” music festival has been held regularly at the beginning of spring in this romantic city on the river Neckar.

 

Internationally renowned artists such as Gidon Kremer, Maria Kliegel, Bernd Glemser, Alban Gerhardt, Barbara Hendricks, Irwin Gage, Matthias Goerne or the Petersen Quartett have already performed in Heidelberg during the “Heidelberg Spring” festival, and will do so again in future.

Each year the festival is dedicated to a different theme. In recent years, the “Heidelberg Spring” has focussed on topics such as the millennium or the changes in the history of music.
