Take the curved lift to the top of the dome of the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) for a great view over the city.

Wander around the 334 acres of the memorable Herrenhäuser Gärten, a series of gardens, most of which were modelled on the famous gardens of Versailles in France. Get lost in the maze in the 300-year-old Great Gardens (Großer Garten), or admire its 80 m (260 ft) high Große Fontäne.
