Völklinger Hütte: UNESCO World Heritage
Visit the Völklinger Hütte, now converted from a rusting, derelict foundry into a cultural venue and “a cathedral to the Industrial Age”. The 60 hectare complex hosts art exhibitions, music events and it’s illuminated at night.
The Völklinger Hütte, a redundant ironworks, was the first industrial works to be included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
