The Middle Rhine Valley Near Koblenz
The chain of castles and palaces along the steep slopes of famous Rhine stretches from Koblenz (Stolzenfels castle) to the legendary Loreley and continues to the city of Rüdesheim.
In 2002 UNESCO added the upper Middle Rhine Valley to its list of World Cultural Heritage Sites, as the most beautiful and oldest man-made landscapes.
