St Lambert's Market & City Church (Münster)
St Lambert’s market and city church (St. Lamberti)– owes its fame to the three cages at the top of the tower where the corpses of the three leaders of the Anabaptist movement where hung after the failure of the Anabaptist movement in the middle of the 16th century.
Furthermore, St Lambert’s Church accommodates the ‘highest office’ of Münster, the towerkeeper’s room. The towerkeeper’s copper horn can be heard nightly (9.00 p.m. - 12.00 p.m. every half hour, except on Tuesdays)
In St Lambert’s Church, Cardinal von Galen gave his courageous sermons during the Nazi period for which he was later beatified during 2005.
