Impressive Fortress of Colditz
The impressive fortress of Colditz is more famous in Britain than in Germany. The successful escapes from the supposedly inescapable World War II prison embarrassed the GDR who suppressed the story. Now you can look round the Escape Museum here, and take a guided tour.
